We also believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and it is accepted as the rule and authority in the life of every believer. We are an independent congregation seeking to be loyal only unto God and holding to no human, denominational, or man-made creed. We have no book but the Bible and no creed but Christ. We seek to communicate God's message to all people and to involve every member of our congregation in the work of the ministry. Everyone will find a warm welcome at our services. We are a friendly church, made up of caring people devoted to the worship of our God and King and loving one another.

The mission of the First Christian Church of West Plains, Missouri, in the power of the Holy Spirit, is to win persons to faith in Jesus Christ and to commit them actively to the church; to help them grow in the knowledge and grace of Christ, that increasingly they may know and do His will; and to work for the unity of all Christians and with them engage to work for the common task of building God's Kingdom.
